RV Parks...To Stay or Not to Stay

This will be an on going page of course. We have stayed at many parks and I wish I had taken notes on all of them. But I will start my list with some and add as we visit.

Diamond Lake Rv Park 3500 Diamond Lake Loop, Diamond Lake, Or. 97731  (541-793-3318)
This is a great park for families or couples. 12 miles from Crater Lake. There is fishing, hiking, boating, horseback riding, swimming and?... available. Nice clean showers, bathrooms and laundry room. Staff is friendly and helpful. Very good place to stay.

Town and Country Rv Park  9911 se 82nd ave. #31 Happy Valley, Or.97086  (503-771-1040)
Portland Oregon is not super Rv friendly, but it is a fun city to visit. This park is in a great location. All kinds of shopping and on a bus line. You are in the city but not far in. There is easy access to highways where you can be in the gorge, the mountains or desert in short amounts of time. The park is managed by my nephew. We stay here. He and his crew are working hard to get it into shape. The park is older but very nice. And has some beautiful flowering trees. Very good place to stay.

Leaf Verde Rv Park Buckeye, Az. (623-386-3132)
This park is one of our stopping spots. We actually stayed here for 4 months in 2010. I worked at the Fry's Marketplace right down the road. Only 23 miles west of Phoenix this park is in a great location. Lots of empty desert around to wander in but very close to shopping. Staff is friendly. Very clean facilities. Pool. New commons area put in for guests to enjoy. When you stay here you feel like part of the community.

Big Pines Rv Park Crescent, Or. (541-433-2785)
We are staying in this park right now while waiting for the lake to clear. Super nice clean park. Owners are very friendly. Good place to stay if you plan on fishing, hiking or just getting into the great outdoors. 45 minutes south of Bend so not too bad of a drive.

Tombstone RV Park Tombstone, Az. (520-457-3829)
We stayed here for a couple of months. Nice friendly park. About one mile out of Tombstone but they also have a shuttle that will take you to and from town. Pretty basic park but we really enjoyed our stay. My only complaint would be internet. They had it on 2 hours a day, although this park does sit in a hole and they are probably even lucky to have it. After all when in Tombstone who needs internet? Prices are great.

Orange Grove RV Park Bakersfield, Ca. (661-366-4662)
Were here one night, just passing through. Great park lots of amenities. I really liked having my own orange tree. This park was made out of an orchard. Lots of oranges. We enjoyed our stay.

Mission RV Park, El Paso, Texas (915-859-1133)
We stayed in El Paso for about 5 months. Have family there and had a goo visit. This park is in a great location for shopping or down town El Paso. Easy access from highway. Staff is friendly, good wifi. Clean. Some highway noise. This is our choice for parks in the area.
